Middle School students are currently taking part in our New Zealand Exchange Program.
This week, they began their stay at a Māori immersion school, where they are experiencing Māori culture, language, and values through everyday school life.
The students received a warm and heartfelt welcome from the school community and had the opportunity to share a part of their own culture by performing Yosakoi, a traditional Japanese dance, in front of the entire school.
Through experiences like these, students learn not only about another culture, but also about their own. They discover the importance of listening, connecting, and understanding perspectives that may be different from their own.
Learning beyond borders. Connecting through culture. Growing through experience.
At Learning Tree, we believe that meaningful learning happens not only in the classroom, but also through authentic experiences and connections with the world.
We look forward to sharing more of our students’ learning journey in New Zealand!
